  • INES researcher will participate in ACM SIGMOD/PODS Conferences.

    The ACM Special Interest Group on Management of Data is concerned with the principles, techniques and applications of database management systems and data management technology. The annual ACM SIGMOD/PODS conference is a leading international forum for database researchers, practitioners, developers, and users to explore cutting-edge ideas and results, and to exchange techniques, tools, and experiences. IT is one of the most important and selective in the field. This year the conference will happen in Athens, Greece, in June 12-16.

    The ACM SIGMOD program committee is very selective and one of INES researchers was very proud to participate on it (please see This fact motivates the participation on the conference.

    The conference and associated workshops have a very interesting program and it will be an opportunity to see the state of the art from different domains as Information Integration, Ontologies, Semantic Web, Cloud Computing, among others. Tutorials and important invited speakers in the area will be major moments in the evenements. Besides, it will be an excellent opportunity to meet people, make new contacts and even stablish new collaborations.

    - Prof. Ana Carolina Salgado, UFPE, is a researcher of the project “Models, Processes and Tools for the Development of Context-Sensitive Systems”.
